About the Artist

Forming in 2009, Alaska has always put emphasis on the music.

Writing and recording their self titled EP just a few months after their serendipitous beginning. Like any artist aspiring to progress in their musicianship, Alaska has shifted their song writing from the first recordings to the most recent batch of songs, and is currently in the process of recording their debut album. The new compositions maintain elements of the EP, while adding new dynamics and rhythmical movements. With influence ranging from Arcade fire, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens to Chopin, the unique sound that Alaska brings is “atmospherically gorgeous and utterly sincere” (Metro Magazine).
