Christchurch Music Update - September 2011
Welcome to the September 2011 Christchurch Music Update.
The latest music news, events, competitions and giveaways for September 2011.
The spring has sprung and with it comes hope for the music scene in c-city. A lot has changed from this time a year ago, quite amazingly currently NONE of those dedicated original live music venues open in 2010 are operating now... incredible. Despite this we are keeping our venues directory up to date and working on letting you know what will be open in the coming months (ie. Dux Live and hopefully a new central city entertainment space).
We are slap bang in the middle of the ChCh Arts Festival so remember to keep an eye on the events section for what's on around town.
You must take the chance to have a listen to CHARTDISC Vol 5 at chchmusic.bandcamp.com - a hard and heavy compilation of underground classics, grab your copy now from stores around the country.
Look out for the second edition of the Entertainment Street Press out on the streets of Chch with JAGG tear out gig guide. To submit any info on events or any other news, email st.press.mag@gmail.com.
