Kimbra "Vows" Releasing 29 August and New Single 'Intent' Out Now.

Having signed with Warner Music Worldwide in Los Angeles earlier this year, KIMBRA'S debut album releases in New Zealand on Monday 29 August - the first of many territories to release this stunning collection. VOWS charts not only her growth and development musically over this time, but personally as well. KIMBRA co-produced VOWS alongside the refined skills of François Tétaz (Bertie Blackman, Gotye) and Australian Urban export M-Phazes (Amerie, Pharoahe Monch). She also contributed her vocal talents to Miami Horror's ‘I look to you' and a duet with Gotye's on his current #1 Australian single ‘Somebody I used to Know'.

KIMBRA is already proving herself as a songwriter and music stylist beyond her years. Settle Down, the first single lifted from VOWS, won first place in the Pop/Top 40 category at the The International Songwriting Competition (ISC), the world's preeminent global songwriting event. Most recently KIMBRA was also awarded the prestigious Vanda & Young Songwriting Award for her 2nd single Cameo Lover. GOOD INTENT, the alluring 3rd single from KIMBRA'S highly anticipated debut album VOWS is now available on iTunes.

On Good Intent, KIMBRA explores both sides of a broken vow and the destruction it causes. An intense theme playfully delivered in teasing lines punctuated by drunk horns, "I know you didn't mean it boy/you meant so well/but the pennies are cascading ‘round your wishing well." Framed by jazz bass, the nimble shuffle of drums and a bluesy guitar solo, the effect is like waking up in a foggy speakeasy after a jagged night out to find the heart on your sleeve missing. The cinematic film clip, playing out a film noir escapade of moral intentions and immoral actions, is set to plunge fans deeper into the eclectic world of KIMBRA.

To celebrate the New Zealand release of VOWS, Kimbra will perform live at Kathryn Wilson's New Zealand Fashion Week show. The show is completely free to attend and will be open to 3,000 guests from the public.
