Folk Tui finalist and 'country sweetheart' Mel Parsons presents a three-night series of intimate shows at the wonderful BATS Theatre in Wellington for NZ Music Month in May.
Parsons, renowned for her live 'spark' and 'pin-drop' performances; will be performing new and favourite toe-tapping tunes for the BATS shows. Accompanying Parsons will be members of her band The Rhythm Kings and a super-star line up of guests including Jess Chambers (The Woolshed Sessions) winner of the APRA 2009 Best NZ Country Song and Barry Saunders (The Warrahtahs).
A West Coast native, Parsons has had a stellar year since her last foray to the Capital in 2009 to launch debut album Over My Shoulder which was a finalist for 'Folk Album of the Year' at the Tui NZ Music Awards.
