Founded in 2005 Mercury Crowe
features rockers Allan Mansfield- vocals, guitars, songs. Hamish
McKoy- guitars, vocals, songs. Rowan Clark- bass, vocals, keys,
songs and Nick George- drums, vocals, songs.

Together they've cut their teeth playing a solid two-year
residency at the Cavern Club in Wellington an early rock & roll
bar with connotations to the famed Liverpool Cavern Club. The
club space has allowed Mercury Crowe to define a classic rock
sound unashamedly influenced by the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led
Zeppelin, Oasis, The Black Crowes and Ryan Adams.

"We admire artists whose songs were not only influential to
modern music, but have a clever simplicity to them which has
stood the test of time" drummer Nick George said.

The new single came along almost as an after thought when Mercury
Crowe was wrapping up writing and recording new demos last year.
Excited by a memorable and unforgettable guitar hook the band put
the demo for Kiss Me or Kill Me together within a week.

Recording for Kiss Me or Kill Me was at the infamous Lab
Recording Studio in Auckland and it features the guest talent of
long time collaborator Ed Zuccollo on organ. Kiss Me or Kill Me
was engineered and mixed by Olly Harmer from the Lab who has a
great knowledge of early Beatles recordings and vintage gear.
Mastering was by noted Wellington engineer Mike Gibson.

The Kiss Me or Kill Me music video was directed by award winning
MoFresh Productions from Auckland. Starring Auckland based model
Rosie Herdman and the band, the video captures the strong pace of
the song, playing on the emotive and primal undertone of the
lyrics.

Something to Crowe About

Mercury Crowe broke out of their
shell with Set Your Mind to Fly a fully self produced and funded
EP in 2009 and originally released a self-titled EP in 2007.
Relentless national tours and smart social media marketing
attracted a loyal following, highlighted by the success of the
single Carolina which received nationwide radio play and live TV
performances. While paying close attention to their love of rock
and roll music in its purest form Mercury Crowe's raw energy
delivers a new dimension to New Zealand music.
