NZ Musician Magazine's Latest Issue Is Out

August 19th 2010
“I think that when we release ‘Form’ we'll lose a lot of people. But hopefully we'll gain a lot of people too,” reveals Die! Die! Die!’s frontman Andrew Wilson in the latest issue of NZ Musician.

New Zealand Musician's August-September issue is now out, and while we're not making a song and dance about it marking 22 years of the mag, there is plenty of song and dance in it!

Always-edgy Die! Die! Die! take the cover and talk with Karl Puschmann about the delayed unleashing of their new album, their not-straight-forward signing to the rejuvenated Flying Nun, and about having a fourth member who doesn't talk back.

Those super catchy Kids of 88 tell Lydia Jenkin about their unintentional rise to fame and their just-dropped-this-week debut album ‘Sugarpills’.

Julia Deans tells tales about her gorgeous new solo album 'Modern Fables'; Arch Hill's young guns Surf City and Street Chant talk about recording debut albums without a budget; Batucada Sound Machine entertain with tour stories from Europe; Delaney Davidson dials in from USA to shoot the breeze about his engaging latest release; Eru Dangerspiel opens up his bat cave; local super-group BARB talk about their psychedelic collaborations; ethical metallers The Mark of Man tell how their music delivers a message against animal cruelty and Nesian Mystik talk about their final album as a band.

Enough already? There is more...

On top of all that good stuff are NZM's regular no-nonsense, uber-helpful columns, lessons for musicians of all levels, equipment reviews and really too many Fresh Cut album reviews to count.

AND, being a birthday issue, NZM has some awesome prizes to giveaway - an autographed Zakk Wylde Cry Baby Wah Pedal and a pair of new Sennheiser iPhone headphones.
