Parachute Music has had news aplenty over the past three months; read on for all the latest.

After much hype and anticipation, the Parachute 2011 website http://www.parachutemusic.com/festival went live in August and we've released our headliners for 'the happiest little festival on earth'; including Chris Tomlin, Skillet and NewWorldSon! We can also announce that Parachute Band will release their long-awaited third album LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE on the Sunday night of Festival.
Australian Idol winner Stan Walker will also be gracing Parachute 2011 stages, after a busy year releasing smash hits like 'Unbroken' and an upcoming Australian tour with Flo Rida. Early-bird tickets to Parachute 2011 are available now from iTICKET.

On the Sunday night of Parachute 2011, worship sensation Chris Tomlin and renowned speaker Louie Giglio from the U.S. Passion movement will present their globally impacting 'Indescribable' show. And, right before Parachute 2011 hits New Zealand, we're bringing this 'Indescribable' Worship set to Australia, with support from Parachute Band and special guest Henry Seeley. These events are happening on January 26 in Brisbane and January 27 in Melbourne; check our website http://www.parachutemusic.com in coming weeks for more info.

Parachute Band recently finished a two-month tour of Europe, which took them to England, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, and Holland. They say highlights were playing at UK events Creationfest and Rocknations, and making musical history while headlining Serbia's first-ever major worship concert. After spending the past year based in Tennesse, Rapture Ruckus are returning home for a Kiwi summer! They will be bringing the intergalactic 'Welcome To My Space Station' tour to our shores with Canadian rapper Manafest and Australian band New Empire. The tour will stop throughout the South Island in December, pause as the band performs at Parachute 2011, and then continue up New Zealand's North Island in February with a mystery international artist. Juliagrace released her second album BEAUTIFUL SURVIVOR in August, and she's been getting some rave reviews! Veteran NZ music reviewer Graham Reid glowed that she is "a terrific singer-songwriter with a mainline to classic pop ballads," (read his review here). And New Zealand Woman's Weekly gave the album four stars. Juliagrace has since played shows in Brisbane and Melbourne, is keeping rather busy playing at World Vision 'Girls Night Out' events, and will feature at this year's 'Coca-Cola Christmas In The Park'. The Ember Days have been touring the U.S. for the past one-and-a-half years, but have finally returned home to New Zealand for a sunny few months. This month, the band are embarking on a nationwide tour, with different local acts (including Saving Grace and Tokyo Keys); tour dates are posted on their MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/theemberdays. The Ember Days have also just released their stunning FINGER PAINTING EP, which features five new songs and plenty of ambience for your quiet times. Get free downloads from The Ember Days here.

We have recently signed Brisbane band The Art of Sleeping to Parachute Music management! The five-piece make atmospheric indie-rock, and we are super excited to start developing their profile throughout Australasia. Quirk-pop act Ruby Frost and band recently flew over to Brisbane to play industry showcases at Big Sound conference. The Frost party got back just to leave again for the U.S. where they performed at CMJ 2010 in New York and at LA's iconic Viper Room. The songbird also won the Pop category of the recent international John Lennon Songwriting Competition (Session I)! Keep up to date with all her happenings here.
