The Naked and Famous Announce Deluxe Edition of Passive Me, Aggressive You
The Naked And Famous are homeward bound for the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and a special one-off show at the Auckland Town Hall.
To celebrate their (brief) return to our shores they've announced a very special deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed album Passive Me, Aggressive You this coming Monday 17th October.
The limited edition 3CD package will include the original album, along with the band's early EPs This Machine and No Light.
The Naked And Famous lead the pack at this year's VNZMA's, with finalist spots in the following categories: Russian Standard Vodka Album of the Year, Vodafone Single of the Year, FOUR Best Group, Pacific Blue Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Best Alternative Album and Vodafone People's Choice Award.
The album has already picked up two technical awards for MAINZ Best Engineer and MAINZ Best Producer.
On the back of the awards, The Naked And Famous will be playing a licensed all ages show at the Auckland Town Hall on Friday 4th November. They come home promising a show that will be honed from having performed over 130 times since their departure including some of the world's major music festivals of 2011 and seeing their album and songs connect with audiences and glowing reviews from media all around the world.
Highlights have included playing the likes of Glastonbury in the UK and Fuji Rock in Japan, as well as festivals across Europe from Scandinavia to Portugal and Ireland.
The band won't be stopping home for long though, as they return directly to the UK for their last headline tour of the year.
The group's album Passive Me, Aggressive You was released around the world in March, charting in the Top 30 in major markets including the UK and Germany. Their single ‘Young Blood' followed its platinum certification in New Zealand by being a Gold seller in Australia, and playing on radio all over the world. It has notched up more than eight million YouTube views.
