Creative Giving Launched Today
Creative New Zealand is investing $1.05 million over the next three years to enhance the arts and cultural sector’s ability to source private sector funding.
Our new pilot programme, Creative Giving, will provide advice and support aimed at helping you to increase the financial support you receive from donors and businesses, trusts and foundations.
Creative Giving includes:
- workshops and masterclasses on fundraising and how to develop relationships with businesses and donors
- one-to-one mentoring on fundraising for a selected group of organisations. The mentoring programme will require an agreed level of commitment and engagement to ensure the success of this process
- an incentive scheme for donations and sponsorship to arts and cultural organisations. Creative New Zealand will match new donations or sponsorships (between $5000 and $20,000). Details of the scheme and eligibility criteria will be announced in September
- an advocacy programme highlighting the benefits to be gained by investing in the arts.
A dedicated Creative New Zealand Manager, Jean Goodband, has been appointed to develop and implement the pilot programme, which will initially run until mid 2015. You will be able to find more information on the pilot at:
If you would like to express an interest in being involved in the mentoring, or would like any further information about Creative Giving, please contact Jean Goodband, Manager, Creative Giving at Creative New Zealand firstname.lastname@example.org
