Topp Twins Summer Dates Announced

December 1st 2009
Hi everyone, We are delighted to announce five special shows in January - our Summer Winery Tour - with Don McGlashan and the Seven Sisters band. We were very lucky to have Don, one of New Zealand's finest singer song-writers, produce our latest album Honky Tonk Angel.

Topp Twins Film International Release

Who would have thought a couple of old scrubbers like us would be voted more popular than Michael Moore's film Capitalism, in Toronto. We had a ball over there and performed at the downtown Yonge-Dundas Square to a large appreciative crowd.  Winning the prestigious Cadillac People's Choice Award for Documentary has helped boost the film's profile, so it starts its worldwide release this week. The film opened in Australia yesterday. It is screening at the Palace Cinemas in all main cities, so please spread the word and encourage friends and family over there to get along this weekend if possible (the opening weekend is the most important to keep the film in the cinema). For further information contact Rialto at www.rialtoentertainment.com <http://email.workandtumble.net/t/r/l/krdjiu/ptidhtjd/r>  orwww.palacecinemas.com.au <http://email.workandtumble.net/t/r/l/krdjiu/ptidhtjd/y> The film is also currently screening in Amsterdam at IDFA, the largest festival of documentaries in the world, and opens in LA ast the Fairfax Cinema on December 4th, as well as Hamburg and Berlin  at www.unerhoert-filmfest.de <http://email.workandtumble.net/t/r/l/krdjiu/ptidhtjd/j> . Remember the Movie is available to buy on DVD with Extras from Topp Shop <http://email.workandtumble.net/t/r/l/krdjiu/ptidhtjd/t> makes a great Xmas present. However, please be aware it is currently only suitable for screening in NZ/Aust unless overseas purchasers/recipients have an All Regions DVD player.

National Tour Sell-Out
We had a ball on the road again Oct/Nov and wish to thank you all for supporting our shows. Just about every show was a sell-out, and we had to add more. Once again we were overwhelmed by the wonderful warm reception we got everywhere we went. Some of you even went as far as dressing up as your favorite characters ! Thanks to Geoff and Tracey Topp from Christchurch, Maryanne Burney (Auckland) and Elizabeth Cochrane (New Plymouth) for the compliments, as someone famous once said "The highest form of flattery is imitation! " We will have further photos from the tour on our website soon.
