Outward Sound Recipients Round One 2010

Outward Sound is pleased to announce the 1st round of grant recipients for 2010.

Stage Two grants, providing the opportunity for in-market performances and related business development, were awarded to; Bachelorette for a Showcase tour of Europe, USA, (including showcasing at SXSW) and South America to support the release of her album My Electric Family via label Drag City (http://www.dragcity.com)
The Ruby Suns to promote the release of their new album Fight Softly through labels Sub Pop (http://www.subpop.com) for the USA including showcasing at SXSW, and Memphis Industries (http://www.memphis-industries.com) for UK/Europe.

Stage One in-market grants were awarded to The Opensouls for a showcase tour of International jazz festivals in Canada. Dimmer for a showcase tour of the USA, includes an appearance at the Chris Knox benefit show in New York City in April. Surf City to perform a showcase tour of the US including attending the SXSW music conference. Flying Nun to facilitate Roger Shepherd's international relaunch of the Flying Nun label.

Applications for the next round of Outward Sound grants close on April 26th 2010 at 5pm.
