Plans for The Great Escape 2011 are underway and we are pleased to announce that we have a new addition to our team; the team behind the CMU Daily have joined The Great Escape as our official convention programmers and will be giving our convention programme a serious shake up.

CMU Co-Founder and Publisher Chris Cooke says: "After a decade of turmoil, I genuinely believe the foundations of the music industry of the future are starting to emerge. We write about great ideas and exciting new approaches to the business of music every day, and we look forward to bringing together the people behind those ideas and approaches to speak, debate, advise, network and party at next year's Great Escape convention, the one truly unmissable event in the music industry's busy calendar"

TGE Co-Founder Martin Elbourne adds: "As Europe's leading festival for new music, we are looking forward to CMU creating Europe's leading music industry convention".

The CMU and TGE teams are inviting everyone in the music industry to put forward ideas for topics, speakers or themes they'd like to see at next year's Great Escape convention. Ideas can be submitted via the discussion board on the Great Escape's industry Facebook profile which you can join here

Super Early Bird Delegate Tickets are still on sale. For only £80 you could be joining 15,000 industry and festival goers, with priority access to over 300 up and coming acts performing alongside inspiring seminars and networking events, in Brighton. Last year's convention was attended by Delegates from across the world including from Australia, Austria, China, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, India, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, South Africa, Sweden and the US.
