Dr Kevorkian and the Suicide Machine

About the Artist

Dr Kevorkian the Suicide Machine is the live performance moniker for Jordan Reyne.

Three times nominee at the New Zealand Music Awards, Jordan has carved a niche for her unique sense of musicality. Her work is a blend of "found sound" (industrial atmospheres and percussive machinery) and melodic vocals. The music is dark yet beautiful, and has appealed to reviewers both locally and internationally.

Channel 4 (UK) say "[Jordan] may just be making the most important sound of 2002. An enchanting patchwork of ethereal harmony, unabashed gothic melody, and a cerebral songwriting swagger.. simply stunning. A thoroughly unique work of art from start to finish. Whether by hook or crook, you MUST own this album.
RATING - 5 / 5".

At home, Real Grove magazine have said "The Ironman is a concept album, a study in science, technology and humanity. Stunning poetry... evocative and moving".

And "the most innovative, emotive and experimental music ever to come out of New Zealand". Salient Magazine (Victoria University).

Jordan left New Zealand at the beginning of 2006 and now lives in Hamburg, Germany.
