Sidewalk Meese

Sidewalk Meese

About the Artist

Adhering to a premise that it is okay to wear your heart on your sleeve, Auckland three piece Sidewalk Meese have no qualms with comparisons to the outputs of "pop moment" Fugazi and early Weezer, while inherently adopting some influences from Messr Malkm

A band which mix the coming of age cynicism through to the forlorn over the shoulder glances of what's happening around them (meta-referencing and post-modernism both words and themes bartered around in the past), it's easy for a listener to be at ease with their instantaneous hook-laden melodies and power-pop flourishes.

Sidewalk Meese is what those college radio station in the USA would be playing - if we were back in the mid-nineties; and amassing instantaneous approval from this side of the globe.
