More about the winners

Equaliser (EQ) is a mixed workshop/seminar/network format that provides professional development, mentorship and an ongoing network support to female* music and screen sector professionals.

Produced and presented by Auckland UNESCO City of Music and Women In Film & Television, and supported by the NZ Music Commission, NZ On Air, Sony, SAE & Photogear.

Musician applicants were asked to submit a song that is planned for 2022 release. Ideally the song will be completed or near completion at time of submission. Successful applicants will be paired with synergistic Director applicants for the purposes of producing filmed content (music video, interstitials, visualisers or other as agreed) to support the release of that music.

EQ is a global initiative by UNESCO Cities of Music to address the UN's Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
