The Family Fun Day Mash Up is a true celebration of family and community - and it's free!

The lineup for the second ‘Mash Up’ of 2019 is a special one, featuring Bernie Griffen and the Thin Men, Le Cirque de JP and Captain Festus McBoyle’s Travellin’ Variety Show, all under one roof to entertain kids and parents alike. 

Plus: Face painting (5 bucks a face), hot food and beverages onsite, Irish dance performances from the O’Sullivan School of Irish Dance, cake stalls - and a food bank for all your dry and tinned food donations. 


The Family Fun Day Mash Up is totally free to attend thanks to the Albert Eden Local Board.

Starting at 12pm at The Auckland Irish Society Hall, Rocky Nook Ave in Fowlds Park, Morningside on Saturday, August 10th, the Mash Up will run until 3.00pm.

Get in quick - this venue only has a capacity of 280.

We are very lucky to have NZ’s iconic country legend Bernie Griffen performing with his brilliant band The Thin Men. Featuring his partner (and award-winning author) Kirsten Warner, drummer Chris Kemp, and Tony Daunt on bass guitar, they play a colourful blend of music for the whole family. Griffen was presented the inaugural Independent Spirit Award by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern at the 2019 Taite Music Prize in April this year. Find out more about them here:



Captain Festus McBoyle’s Travellin’ Variety Show promises Vaudeville musical comedy to float the boat of both young and old.

NZ’s top Family entertainment act are coming at you in all their glory. Think Monty Python, Spike Milligan and The Goons.

Encounter Hope Foundation are a registered Charitable trust staffed by volunteers who provide food parcels and drop in services for people in need, and it's a real pleasure to have them involved. Please bring your Dry and Tinned food donations on the day - let's create a food mountain for the community.
