Arthur Baysting - Haere Rā

December 3rd 2019
The Board and Staff of the NZ Music Commission are incredibly sad to hear the news of Arthur Baysting passing away. Arthur was a true champion of local music and his loss will be felt across Aotearoa and further afield.

The Music Commission would not have come into being without the vision and drive of Arthur.  His legacy here, and in other music organisations around the Pacific, will resonate for decades to come.

Our thoughts are with Jean, James and Rosie.

Arthur had an extensive and varied career, and just some of his exceptional achievements and his impact on music and culture in New Zealand have been written about on AudioCulture – links below.
