GOING GLOBAL 2022 Announce Panels Including 'Exporting Maori Excellence' & 'WTF? NFT FTW!'.

August 31st 2022
The countdown is on! Two days to go and GOING GLOBAL 2022 just got REAL with the addition of two exciting new panels: Exporting Māori Excellence + WTF? NFT FTW!
Tickets to the two-day boutique music conference are selling fast and are looking to sell out. There is reduced capacity due to Covid safety protocols* so artists looking to get that all important face to face time are encouraged to secure their space quickly.
The timetable of panels is live and GOING GLOBAL are excited to highlight two of the latest additions.

Going Global Executive Producer, Dylan Pellett, says "Being the only country on the globe that can export Māori music, we are excited to present and hear from Māori artists about their successes, their challenges, and their ambitions for music exported by Māori overseas. It's music not of a genre, but of a place with many trailblazers that have carved a path to the world stage. We are really honoured to have such an amazing group of current artists coming to Going Global to share their experiences and aspirations with us."

Exporting Māori Excellence
Troy Kingi, Artist; Theia, Artist; Rei, Artist; Reti Hedley (IA) and Mihirangi, Artist with Sarah Owen, Recorded Music NZ
Some say there is a New Zealand sound, many say there is a Dunedin Sound - but there is one thing that is truly unique to our country. Māori artists of all genres are representing Aotearoa on the world stage and finding success across many territories and platforms. Our panel will discuss the opportunities and the global aspirations of artists who are taking their waiata to the world, and the space they might make for the next generation of excellent Māori artists.
Sat, 3rd September: Studio A @ Roundhead - 1.40pm

WTF? NFT FTW!
Diaz Grimm, Artist and Stephen King, Media Arts Lawyers with Holly Afoa, Artist
Much discussed, and not always understood, non fungible tokens are a growing income stream for artists of all genres around the globe. How do they work, who is doing them and how exactly do you make money from them? Our guests dive into the world of NFTs.
Fri, 2nd September: The Brick Room @ Roundhead - 3.10pm
