Mokonui Presents: Live Music at the Lettuce Inn

September 19th 2017

Mokonui, with help from Liberty Growers, Katikopy, and Harpoon Cold Brew Coffee, is pleased to present this November 4th, Live Music at the Lettuce Inn #4.

The festival is situated in idyllic grounds amongst an avocado grove on the Liberty Growers' hydroponic lettuce and herb farm at 33 Sedgemoor lane in Katikati.

We are excited to announce that we are bringing to Katikati one of New Zealand's favourite live acts, Sal Valentine and the Babyshakes! Sal and the Baby Shakes will bring you a melting pot of groove, soul and funk, laced with bittersweet lyrical sentiment. This act is set to cause a dance explosion not to be missed. Also included in the line up we have local Singer Songwriter Tenneille Anne, Mount Maunganui Intermediate's Unknown Vibes, Wellington's Moon Lander and Grawlixes, and Dunedin transients Alizarin Lizard.

The event will also showcase contemporary dance from Auckland based act Late Dance, as well as art installations from local artists Kabuki Doll (Jess Covell) and Chris Miller, and Rotorua based artist Maggie Covell.

Whether you want to sit back relax and enjoy or get up and get your dance on, there is plenty of space! It's a family friendly event with family passes setting you back a mere $40. Adult pre-sale tickets will be $20 via emailing the event organisers at contactmokonui@gmail.com. There will be limited door sales for $25.

Food will be available for purchase from One Love Catering, with hot organic beverages from Little Miss Jay.

Peforming artists include Alizarin Lizard, Grawlixes, Late Dance, Moon Lander, Sal Valentine and the Babyshakes, Tennielle Anne and Unknown Vibes.

Music will begin shortly after the gates open at 3pm sharp! The day will be done and dusted by early evening. BYO chairs, snacks, beverages and good attitudes!
