Music Industry Online Hui ‘The New Normal’ for Gigs

October 20th 2020
NZ Music Commission is hosting an online hui via their Facebook and YouTube channels on ’The New Normal’ for gigs.
The session will be focused on building in a Plan B option if shows aren’t able to proceed due to gathering restrictions in the future.
Specifically, how can your shows go ahead in a digital environment? And how can you best make that work? Can you add merch to your online event?
Additionally, we will be asking if people should be looking at streaming shows from live music venues? And how about adding an audience at short notice - how quickly can public ticketing, marketing etc. be turned around?
Join us for a conversation about how gigs can adjust to the new normal.
Our speakers are: Will Evans, Artist & Label Ambassador for Bandcamp in AUS/NZ, Stuart Clumpas, Live music veteran & former-chairman of Live Nation New Zealand, Rahine O’Rielly from Wellington venue Meow, genre-bending Persian/New Zealand rapper & producer CHAII, and musician & show host Emma Cameron of Decades & Emma Dilemma.
