SoundCheck Aotearoa - More Professional Respect Training Workshops

June 2nd 2022
SoundCheck Aotearoa are excited to let you know that Professional Respect training days are available again, FREE for members of the music community.

You can register for the following training days here:

  • Friday 8th July 2022 - Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland
  • Friday 5th August - Ōtepoti, Dunedin
  • Friday 23rd September - Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington

Professional Respect is a full day of training – starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm, with lunch provided.  The training days have been developed by sexual harm prevention specialist Rachel Harrison, in conjunction with SoundCheck Aotearoa, based on a model for similar training that has been rolled out across the screen sector.  The day is friendly and interactive and the content includes: definitions of sexual harassment and sexual harm within New Zealand legislation, WorkSafe obligations and legal requirements for workplaces, guidance for receiving disclosures of sexual harm and supporting survivors, strategies for preventing sexual harm and fostering a respectful work environment and practical tips for bystander intervention.
If you can’t make these dates and locations, please keep an eye on our website for further dates, and online training which we plan to launch soon.
