Update on the NZ Music Month Make Good Fund & Aotearoa Touring Support Programme

August 17th 2020
A brief update on progress for these two strands in the NZ Music Recovery Fund.

Applications for the NZ Music Month Make Good Fund are currently being assessed.  The  process and verifying evidence is taking longer than anticipated, however we are working towards all applicants being advised this week.  The list of confirmed grants will be published on the website once the applicants have been advised.

Work on the Aotearoa Touring Support Programme is progressing. More information on this fund will be available later in August, with the intention the fund will open in September.

Manatū Taonga (the Ministry for Culture and Heritage) and the NZ Music Commission are leading the work on the design and eligibility criteria for the Fund, which will make $5million available over two years to reinvigorate the live music sector and grow the potential for touring across Aotearoa for original New Zealand music.

More information on the Manatū Taonga work programme for regenerating the Arts sector is available here.
