2011 SXSW Registrations and Band Submissions Now Open

South By Southwest Music & Media Festival 2011 is now open for band submissions and registration.

In 2011 SXSW celebrates its 25th anniversary, and will see over 1900 bands play during 4 days in a multitude of venues in and around the world famous 6th street in downtown Austin, Texas. The conference attracts over 13000 music professionals and fans alike from all over the world with the common interests of music and music business. 
During the day SXSW features some of the music worlds most influential speakers talking at the many panels running throughout the week, discussing the challenges facing the music business and the opportunities arising from the ever changing landscape. The Trade Show in the Austin Convention centre at SXSW
features many new services and products showcased from all around the world all aimed at making connections and improving your business. 2011 will see the merging of Interactive, Music and Film for the week long trade fair, making this an even more comprehensive show. 
Many New Zealand bands have played over the years, including; Die Die Die, Bic Runga, Katchafire, Mint Chicks, Ruby Suns, Ladyhawke, Liam Finn, Flight Of The Conchords, Midnight Youth, David Dallas, Gin Wigmore, Bang Bang Eche, Bachelorette, Mint Chicks, Cut Off Your Hands to name a few.
