Eighteen International Music Market Development grants were awarded this round:
Alien Weaponry
22-date tour of North America, supporting American industrial metal band,
Ministry.
The Beths
56-date tour of the UK, Europe and North America in support of debut album
Future Me Hates Me via label Carpark including support slot for US indie band
Death Cab For Cutie.
The Chills
10-date west coast tour of the USA inc. showcasing in and around SXSW 2019 in
support of new album Snow Bound through Fire Records and The Chills film also
debuting at SXSW.
Robinson
13-date Australian tour supporting Dean Lewis to promote new music and upcoming
EP release.
City Of Souls
Multiple tours of Australia to support the release of new singles, ‘Wolf' and
‘Ferryman' through label Wild Thing Records.
Emily C. Browning
23-date tour of USA as an opening act for US artist, Cory Wong.
Montell2099
3-week tour of the USA and Canada including support for US artist, UZ.
Tami Neilson
5-date Canadian tour in support of album Sassafras! through label Outside Music.
Wax Chattels
21-date tour of North America to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their US
Label, Captured Tracks.
Hangar 18
17-date Asia tour including showcasing at Music Matters in Singapore.
LA Women
7-date tour of Australia in support of alt-pop trio Glades.
Balu Brigada
7-date tour in Australia in support of alt-pop trio Glades.
Lord Echo
Full band tours of Japan and Australia.
Lydia Cole
10-date tour of UK and Ireland.
Mama Mihirangi & the Mareikura
Official and private showcase performances at the Folk Alliance International
Conference 2019 in Montreal, Canada.
Emily Fairlight
4-week tour of the USA including showcasing in and around SXSW 2019.
Miss June
7-date tour in support of single/video release.
Yumi Zouma
3-date US showcase and press tour in support of third EP, III via label Cascine.
International Delegate Grants
The Outward Sound International Delegate grants enables one applicant to attend a supported tradeshow. The current supported tradeshows are the Folk Alliance International Conference, Indie Week, BIGSOUND and WOMEX (The World Music Expo). The grants offer successful applicants 50% recoupable support up to an event specific value to cover flights, accommodation, registration and per diems.
