Touring Well with Emma Cameron from Decades
What do you always do before you go onstage?
Vocal warm ups, make sure all my gear that is on stage is turned on!
How many days in a row can you perform? -before your voice/body needs a break.
At the moment is probably around 3, if i do my vocal warm ups and don't let myself stay out too late after the shows.
What hacks do you have to make sure you get enough rest?
I'm not sure there are any hacks. I think you just learn after a while that touring is a lot easier if you have the willpower to save the partying til the last night/show.
If eating a balanced diet is important to you, how are you able to find healthy options while you are touring?
You can't go wrong with a sub from Subway loaded with salads and protein. If you're lucky enough to have venues that will provide food, either request healthy options with a cheat/treat, or order the healthy options off the menu!
What do you enjoy most about touring?
I love when the same handful of bands tour the entire country together because it gives you a chance to form new friendships and learn from each other after seeing each other play night after night.
