Touring Well with Majic

  • What do you always do before you go onstage?

I'm actually always in a rush before getting on stage, because I am busy doing something or making sure my children are okay. Hehe, but I always take a deep breath before going on stage to reset my mind, body and soul to deliver my performance. I may have a drink of water beforehand as well, nothing fancy :)

How many days in a row can you perform? - before your voice/body needs a break.

I can perform a lot of days with the right amount of sleep, exercise and nutrition. Without these things you will feel your body getting tired.  Its natural if you are on tour for a month or more that you feel tired after physically being on the road for so long. But it is possible with the right routine and help.

What hacks do you have to make sure you get enough rest?

Don't stay up too late if it's a late gig, don't get tempted by music's (can be) after gig culture :) Look after what you put in your body and what energies you are around.

If eating a balanced diet is important to you, how are you able to find healthy options while you are touring?

It gets hard. So just adapt the (choose the healthiest option at wherever you go) thought.
My mum always says to me, there is still a salad option with chicken at Mcdonalds hehe or pre pack healthy snacks and food that keeps you going while travelling especially.

What do you enjoy most about touring?
I enjoy performing. It's an amazing feeling to be able to connect and talk to multitudes.
I love meeting people and exploring new places. And most of all I love the feeling of being able to feel the feeling of coming home (to my babies). It makes you appreciate all you have/had.
