Touring Well with Sandy Mill

  • What do you always do before you go onstage?

I try & have a bit of quiet time 5 mins, Make sure I'm comfortable, a few vocal warm ups, quick body stretch - Big drink of water.

How many days in a row can you perform? - before your voice/body needs a break.
I have never performed more than 5 Days- without a day off.

What hacks do you have to make sure you get enough rest?
ALWAYS take earplugs and an eye / sleep mask. Grab a snooze in the van, after soundcheck...whenever you can... if possible.

If eating a balanced diet is important to you, how are you able to find healthy options while you are touring?
Do a supermarket run, every couple or 3 days. Buy things that are easy to deal with. Avocado, tomatoes, salad, cheese, bread rolls, nuts, fresh fruit. It'll save you a fortune!

What do you enjoy most about touring?

Meeting new people and making connections.
