This week, seven local artists will represent Aotearoa as official showcasing artists at SXSW 2024 in Austin, Texas. Across the week ASHY, CHAII, Earth Tongue, Georgia Gets By, Swallow the Rat, SWIDT and Vera Ellen will all showcase at the week-long festival from March 8th – 16th.

International Manager Alan Holt says “SXSW is one of the most important international music events of the year and I am always proud to watch our artists excel on the world stage. The level of talent and artistry of our showcasing acts have displayed historically has always been significant and this year is no exception.”

Many of the artists have also been invited to play multiple side-shows – both official and unofficial. All artists will have their own schedules so be sure to check out their socials for more information.

Annually, SXSW welcomes foot traffic of 300,000+ attendees comprised of artists, audiences and creative industry professionals from all over the world.

The New Zealand Commission will be hosting a New Zealand at SXSW 2024 Official Party on March 13th from 12:00pm – 5:00pm at the 13th Floor (711 Red River, Austin TX).
