‘One to Watch’: Crystal Drops Electro-Pop Banger, ‘Another Life’

After making her mark in 2025 with a debut performance at Rhythm and Vines and being hand picked for Live Nation’s ‘Ones To Watch’, CRYSTAL is back with her first new music in two years – the electro-pop, power anthem, ‘Another Life’.

With a knack for writing candid and insightful lyrics, which take the listener on a rollercoaster of a ride through the ups and downs of youth, CRYSTAL blends pop, electronic and indie to create a sound and style that’s all her own.

This shines through stronger than ever on ‘Another Life’ – her first new single since 2023’s EP, DEAD ENDS.

‘Another Life’ reflects CRYSTAL’s love for mixing genres and “making music, which feels bigger than my own life”. It is a vulnerable and honest account of the trials and tribulations of chasing a dream.

I was working full time at a coffee shop and pursuing music in my spare time when I wrote ‘Another Life’. Being so focused and hyper-fixated on music and working, I didn’t realise my friendships and overall mental health were suffering,” she says.

It’s about escaping reality and dreaming up a world where you have things your way and more time for loved ones and little joys.”

CRYSTAL co-wrote ‘Another Life’ with New Zealand producer Joel Jones (Balu Brigada, Will Swinton). The pair co-produced the track with up-and-coming producer rede (MELODOWNZ).

The visualiser was made by CRYSTAL and her best friend, Myles Knowles, with CRYSTAL herself creating the artwork for the single.

‘Another Life’ marks a new chapter for CRYSTAL, as she prepares to reveal new music in the year ahead. And as with all that she’s released leading to this point, including her 2022 pop banger Expectations Suck!’ and the darker alt-pop of 2020’s ‘The Chase’, CRYSTAL’s new music provides a candid snapshot of navigating life in your 20s and in her own words “giving a voice to the mundane and inner thoughts, which consume me.”
