Sailor, songwriter, author, and frontman of legendary Kiwi band The Mockers, Andrew Fagan today releases a brand new solo single, ‘Passage of Time’, ahead of his epic 20-date November tour: Passage Of Time – Solo Songs and Stories from a Swirly World.
We’re also very much looking forward to the release of a compilation album, also named Passage of Time, next Monday October 20th, covering Fagan’s work from 1991 right up to (literally) today.
Fagan says of the new single, “‘Passage Of Time’ is a personal philosophical look at exactly that. And a simple conclusion…Yes! Today, and Yes to Today.”
Fagan embarks on his Passage of Time solo tour in November, talking about his songwriting and poem writing and sailing adventures life, as well as singing a few of those songs, and The Mockers one’s as well.
Running from 5th to 30th November, the tour charts a course from Invercargill in the deep south to Whangārei in the north, offering fans a rare chance to get up close with Fagan’s extraordinary life in music, and at sea.
Picking up from his acclaimed 2024 bestselling book Swirly World: Lost at Sea, the tour dives even deeper into Fagan’s thrilling and unconventional world.
The show is a unique blend of spoken word, storytelling, and intimate live music, as Fagan shares tales from his sailing and music adventures, interwoven with songs spanning his entire career – from Mockers classics to his prolific solo catalogue. Expect the unexpected!
“I’m looking forward to travelling all over New Zealand and revisiting the towns I’ve often performed in over the last thirty-something years.
“It will be fun delivering my poems and sailing stories and songs that have followed me through those years. And especially fun to introduce everyone to my latest big hit single Passage Of Time“, says Fagan.
