Tāmaki Makaurau’s own rising band Coppelia are back with their latest single, ‘Skitzo,’ releasing Friday, October 17th. A chaotic, riff-driven anthem capturing the feeling of high-energy euphoria.
Following their back-to-back debut singles ‘Forget It’ and ‘Manasoul’, ‘Skitzo’ sees the five-man band stepping into darker, grittier territory. The track is a short glimpse into the feeling of chaos, built on huge drums, raw guitar, and a chorus made to be screamed on a festival stage.
Since emerging from the backyard gig scene in Tāmaki Makaurau, Coppelia has built a reputation for high-energy performances, unmatched passion and emotionally charged songwriting. Their debut headline show at Double Whammy Bar cemented their place among New Zealand’s next wave of bands.
The band will cap off 2025 with a festival debut at Matakanarama Festival this New Year’s Eve – a monumental performance showcasing their biggest and boldest sound yet.
