Flight Of The Conchords Announce Wellington Warm-Up Shows

Wellington, New Zealand’s favourite sons, Flight of the Conchords, are announcing hometown warm-up shows at Meow Nui on Thursday 16th April, Friday 17th April, Tuesday 21st April, and Wednesday 22nd April.
Artist and fan presales begin Tuesday 7th April at 8am NZST (code: “FOTC”) and are on sale to the general public on Wednesday 8th April at 11am NZST. Buy tickets here.
The New Zealand warm-up shows precede Bret and Jemaine’s three Southern California appearances in May: Thursday 7th May at the Santa Barbara Bowl, and their two Sold-Out appearances at the 2026 edition of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday 9th May, and Sunday 10th May.
These are the Flight of the Conchords’ first performances in 10 years.
New Zealanders Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement debuted on HBO in 2005 in an edition of the comedy series One-Night Stand, returning to the network in 2007 for the debut season of their acclaimed, Emmy-nominated series Flight of the Conchords, which followed fictionalised versions of their lives in New York City.
The duo also signed a worldwide deal with Sub Pop Records for their recorded music, going on to release the Grammy-winning EP, The Distant Future in 2007, followed by two full-lengths and a live album – their self-titled debut in 2008, I Told You I Was Freaky in 2009, and Live In London in 2019. They also headlined in the US and the UK multiple times, including their wildly successful Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour in 2016.
The Conchords’ have also enjoyed individual success. Clement is the co-creator (and occasional guest star) of the comedy horror TV shows Wellington Paranormal and What We Do In The Shadows. He had a recurring role in FX’s Legion, and appeared in films like Men In Black 3, The Minecraft Movie, Megan 2.0, and most recently as “Dr. Garvin” in the last two Avatar films (The Way of Water in 2022; and Fire and Ash in 2025).
McKenzie was the songwriter for The Muppets, which won him an Academy Award® for Best Original Song for ‘Man or Muppet,’ and ‘Muppets Most Wanted‘. He’s also written songs for TV and film, including The Simpsons and The Minecraft Movie. Bret also recently released two solo albums for Sub Pop – Songs Without Jokes in 2022 and Freak Out City in 2025, and has recently been touring live in New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
