Beyond the Beat: MARTIAN LAW Build Their Hip-Hop Universe Through Art and Sound on ‘Goodnight (37:22)’

MARTIAN LAW return with ‘Goodnight (37:22)‘, the latest single from their forthcoming third album, Martian Law 3: The Trophic Cascade.
One of the duo’s most explicitly space-bound compositions, the track drifts into a more atmospheric corner of the MARTIAN LAW universe, with a haunting theremin cutting through its cosmic soundscape. Its title references the precise duration of a Martian day — 24 hours, 37 minutes and 22 seconds — grounding the song in the altered rhythm of life beyond Earth.
For ‘Goodnight (37:22)’, that world extends beyond the music and directly into the artwork. Handpainted by Infectiouss, the intricate multilayer stencil painting depicts an intimate interior aboard the Martian base: a sleeping pod, observation window, strange instruments and the glowing clock marking 24:37:22. Rendered through meticulous hand-cut spray paint stencil layers, the piece feels less like cover art and more like a recovered artefact from the world MARTIAN LAW have been building.
“We wanted to bring the visual side of the track to life through the artwork. I custom painted this multilayer stencil piece to give a glimpse into the world behind the music. I prefer to paint the artwork myself as it lets us build that world physically, rather than just Roarz describing it lyrically.” — Infectiouss
