Video of the Day: Tom Verberne – ‘I Will If You Will’

We have a Video of the Day premiere of Tom Verberne’s new music video for ‘I Will If You Will’: a post-breakup anthem exploring a captivating blend of raw, chaotic distortion and atmospheric sparkle. In his own words “I’ve always been drawn to the unique feeling that results when beautiful and dirty are combined”.

The video features morphing and silhouetted visuals that reflect this haunting vibe. The unique guitar sounds and eerie distortion of the song blend beautifully with the video’s slow, blurry, and haunting footage.

Known for his versatility across genres, from grungy “mosh-pit cryers” to intricate electronica and vulnerable acoustic ballads, this release showcases Tom’s evolution in production and songwriting, solidifying his position as a rising artist to watch.

The video was shot by Nicole Brannen (she/her), one of the most identifiable and prolific analogue photographers in New Zealand. Garrett Seamus, known for his work as ‘Postcard Boy’ and ‘Carwash,’ edited the video, capturing and amplifying the haunting essence of the song and transformed it into something extraordinary.

Watch the buzz below and tune in āpōpō (and every day of New Zealand Music Month) for a new Video of the Day!
