Emerging from New Zealand’s vibrant music scene, October Sewn is the creative alias of Kristiyan Kolarski, a cinematic world-builder whose synth-driven, melancholic sound is captivating listeners. Having grown up in a family of musicians, October’s genre-bending style is steeped in a blend of musical influences, which shape his unique artistic vision.
His debut EP, MACHINA, immerse’s listeners into a sonic universe, drawing inspiration from the world of film and epic soundtracks. The project is a collaboration between October Sewn and acclaimed producer Chris Ingram, blending atmospheric pop with synth-heavy soundscapes reminiscent of The Weeknd, Electric Light Orchestra, and composers like Hans Zimmer and Ben Salisbury.
MACHINA tells a thrilling story of forbidden love, hidden intentions, and morally ambiguous characters, taking cues from iconic films like Ex Machina, Blade Runner, and Ghost in the Shell.
