Mel Parsons has been announced as featured support artist for the Crowded House seven-date tour around Aotearoa, New Zealand in November.

2024 has been a watershed year for Lyttelton singer-songwriter Mel Parsons.

Music lovers and critics alike have flocked to the new Mel Parsons album SABOTAGE, which reached No. 2 in the New Zealand Album Charts in June. Parsons has been on the road ever since, performing 25 concerts through winter and spring, including a performance at the prestigious Vancouver Folk Festival.

The opportunity to perform with Crowded House caps off a huge year for Parsons:

“Neil Finn has been a very influential songwriter for me – and like so many others, Crowded House songs have been a soundtrack to my life so I’m thrilled to be playing support for their NZ Tour”.

The tour will be a full circle moment for Parsons after working with producer and Crowded House keyboardist Mitchell Froom in Los Angeles for her Tui-Award winning 2018 Glass Heart record.
