Start your new year with Professional Respect Trainings offered in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and online via Zoom across two half days.
Professional Respect Training is available free of cost to everyone in the Aotearoa NZ music community. Please register early to confirm attendance for your chosen training session.
Professional Respect Training with SoundCheck Aotearoa
Thursday 27th March 2025 – In Person Workshop (9am-5pm)
Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland
Thursday 3rd April & Thursday 10th April 2025 – Online training via Zoom

Professional Respect Training is delivered in an interactive format and explores of the foundations of safer working environments covering topics such as:
– Strategies for preventing sexual harm and fostering a respectful work environment
– Practical tips for bystander intervention
– Guidance for receiving disclosures of sexual harm and supporting survivors
– Options and pathways for reporting sexual harm and support services available
– Definitions of sexual harassment and sexual harm within New Zealand legislation
– WorkSafe obligations and legal requirements for workplaces
Training is facilitated by Sexual Harm Prevention and Response Specialists, Rachel Harrison and Mel Calvesbert (SoundCheck Aotearoa SHAPRA), and delivered with breaks and food and refreshments provided throughout the day.
