This heart-pumping track mirrors the early 2000’s indie-rock sound of their debut EP whilst taking inspiration from artists such as The Garden, Surf Curse, & Dominic Fike.
Indie Rock 4-piece Ani Saafa made quite an impact beyond their local Ōtepoti, scene last year playing both OUSA & UCSA O-week/Re-O festivals, opening for acts Park Rd and Eli Superfly whilst embarking on a National Tour (Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Wānaka, Queenstown, and Dunedin) fueled by the release of their debut EP, Phonetics.
The EP features four songs including the lead single “Waste It”, which reached Number One on the National Student Radio Network charts a few weeks after its release in June whilst the other 3 songs had spins on other SRN stations respectively.
They look to continue their momentum into 2025 having opened for Hockey Dad, on the South Island legs of their Aotearoa Tour (February 7th, 8th), and with the release of their electric new single ‘Gripes’.
