Mentors

Sparrow is a queer artist, creator, and vocalist with a passion for mentoring and inspiring rangatahi. They have ten years’ experience teaching, working with Auckland School of Rock, Auckland Glee, Girls Rock! Aotearoa, and in high schools across the country, with a focus on songwriting, band mentoring and vocal development. Holder of a Bachelor of Music from The University of Auckland, they have toured Aotearoa and abroad, performing and songwriting with their former band Openside. Sparrow is passionate about utilising music to empower young people to express themselves authentically, connect to their emotions and the world around them, and learn valuable life skills!
