Welcome to Week 4 of TE MARAMA PUORO O AOTEAROA 2024 – NZ Music Month – with AMPLIFYING AOTEAROA | PAOROTIA AOTEAROA the theme across this year’s event celebrating everyone who makes our incredible music and helps amplify tunes from across Aotearoa.

We’re coming up to the last week of Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa with the Aotearoa Music Awards swinging in to shine a huge spotlight on our local music stars next Thursday 30 May. The AMA has 22 award categories this year acknowledging an amazing array of artistry and technical brilliance and will induct the incomparable Dame Hinewehi Mohi into the NZ Music Hall of Fame. With new awards for Breakthrough Single and Te Manu Mātārae, which will acknowledge two artists that have made a significant impact on the music landscape, the AMA will be livestreamed on RNZ and will be available on TVNZ+ from 31 May.
