Applications Open for To the Front Te Papaioea | Palmerston North!

Girls Rock Aotearoa is proud to announce the return of their Palmerston North programme, To The Front Te Papaioea! The youth music programme will be held in the school holidays between Friday 4 Monday 7 October, hosted by Creative Sounds SocietyThe Stomach, Palmerston North.

To The Front Te Papaioea is open to youth aged 12-17 years who are women, transgender, intersex, takatāpui, queer, and gender diverse.

At the programme, participants learn instruments, form bands, write original songs, and perform at a showcase, all guided by musicians, mentors, and industry professionals. Alongside collaborative learning, participants take part in workshops about DIY merchandise, mindfulness, and performance skills. Each day they enjoy lunchtime performances from local artists.

2024 applications are now open for youth attendees and mentor positions!
