“Dark Days In The Sun is easy to listen to, front-to-back, thanks to Anglebox’s experienced musicianship, solid instrumentation, and original songwriting.” – Scarlett / Muzic.NZ
Anglebox was formed in early 2023 when rhythm guitarist Ian Cartwright and lead guitarist Richard Grist decided to collaborate on an originals project. Joined by David ‘Stacky’ Stack on vocals, they completed the lineup with Greg Mannering on bass and Dave Deakins on drums. The band started creating and performing music in early 2024, with initial arrangements and demos quickly evolving into full-fledged songs.
The band’s initial practice sessions in July 2024 were nothing short of incredible, and they soon headed to audioCentric Studios in Christchurch to record their music. Under the guidance of producer Ian McAllister, the band has captured the raw energy and passion of their live performances, resulting in a collection of tracks that truly reflect their creative spirit.
Anglebox invites you to experience Dark Days in the Sun and connect with their music on a deeper level. This EP is a celebration of their shared influences, creative synergy, and the unique energy that defines their sound.
Dark Days in the Sun is available now on all major streaming platforms.
