Creative New Zealand Publish Draft Long-Term Strategy: Tū Mai Rā, Toi Aotearoa

Creative New Zealand‘s draft long-term strategy – Tū Mai Rā, Toi Aotearoa: Te haerenga ki 2040, Our journey to 2040 – sets out Creative New Zealand’s vision, goals, and strategic direction for the next fifteen years as the national arts development agency of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Creative New Zealand wants to hear your views on the draft strategy. You can read the draft strategy here.

Creative New Zealand is open for feedback from today, Monday 17 March, to Sunday 6 April 2025.

Information sessions to introduce the draft strategy and answer questions will start on Wednesday 19 April (12.00–1.00pm). For more information about each of the sessions, please visit their website here.

Creative New Zealand is also holding sessions to discuss the strategy and answer questions about links to the Te Hā o ngā Toi—Māori Arts Strategy and Pacific Arts Strategy, and how Creative New Zealand supports Aotearoa Asian arts.

A recording of the first session, with NZ Sign Language interpretation, will be available on Creative New Zealand’s website from Friday 20 March.
