After exploding on the national scene with a run of sold-out shows supporting Black Comet (Laughton Kora), Tiki Taane and Jon Toogood (Shihad), Fiona McMartin is now ready to step into the spotlight on her own terms, fronting her dynamic new band, Fiona & the Glow.
Their first single ‘You Wouldn’t Know’ is set for release through independent label, Tempo Schmempo on Friday, 8th Nov 2024, and will be followed by a four track E.P in early 2025.
Produced by Tom Bell (David Kilgour & The Heavy Eights), ‘You Wouldn’t Know’ charts the tale of a wandering soul, lost in the shadows of endless nights. Her world spins in the feverish blur of hedonistic weekends, tangled in the cold embrace of addiction and the wreckage of fractured love affairs. Set to a hypnotic groove and coloured with desert-tinged guitar and synth flourishes, the song is an ode to the lost loves and lives that could have been.
