Rounding off what is her biggest year yet, Aotearoa’s country-pop superstar Kaylee Bell releases her first ever Christmas song written and produced alongside long-time collaborator Tom Jordan. In a word full of Christmas covers, the original ‘Wake Me Up When It’s Christmas Time’ arrives just in time for the festive season. In the season of giving, alongside every streaming playlist add Kaylee will be donating $1 to the Starship Foundation on fans behalf.

“I wrote this song in my Nashville flat with my two flat mates one night; we had just put up our Christmas tree and were having our usual nightly jam session with the guitars in the lounge and I had the song title sitting on my phone and threw it out into the room and the song wrote itself. Christmas is such a time of nostalgia and being with loved ones and this song speaks of that yearning to be with your special person on Christmas and how all the sparkly things don’t matter as much as being with people you love at Christmas time” – Kaylee Bell

Kaylee has just put a bow on her New Zealand ‘Cowboy Up’ tour. Fans across the country witnessed her full-throttle live show featuring her biggest hits, from the viral, banjo infused ‘Cowboy Up’, ‘Song for Shania’ – her heart felt tribute to Shania Twain’s influence on her life and career and singles such as smash radio hits ‘Boots N’ All’ and ‘Good Things’ along with other fan favourites.
