LIV BECKETT is an emerging neo-soul, rnb and indie-pop artist PLUS junior doctor whose sound fuses moody synths, raw emotion, and indie edge. Drawing inspiration from artists like Olivia Dean, Billie Eilish, Raye and Kimbra. Liv Beckett explores the tension between her personal and professional life, exposing vulnerability in her journey to self-discovery.
From Auckland, New Zealand, Liv Beckett began creating music as young as 5 years old in her bedroom. Her craft was polished over the years, being awarded Best Vocalist and the People’s Choice award for Tāmaki Makaurau for her band, Ivy, at RockQuest in 2017.
Her soulful melodies are rooted in classical training, completing her Advanced Singing Certificate with Distinction, as well as being a member of the New Zealand Secondary Schools Choir. Her passion was temporarily sidelined while she completed her medical degree, but now she’s restoring balance, and diving headfirst back into the music scene. What started as an outlet for reflection quickly evolved into a distinct sound — a blend of ethereal melodies, textured harmonies, and heartfelt storytelling.
On 14th February 2026, Liv Beckett is set to release her debut EP, Let Go, produced by Baz Suamili, featuring seven tracks that capture the complexities of identity, growth and loss. Recorded in her childhood bedroom, the project showcases the creativity and emotional honesty that defines her artistry.
