Tāmaki Makaurau based promoter duo and content creators Midnight Mothers debut their second session on their channel featuring the artist Elisa.

Recorded at the timeless Cordial Studios located on the North Shore their second live set showcases Elisa’s whimsical melodies and heartfelt lyrics within the soaring performance of two unreleased tracks; ‘My Mind’ and ‘Introspections’. Elisa’s band consists of other Tamaki based jazz musos who bring the grit and energy to the performance of both featured songs. The second session airs via their YouTube channel today.

Bahamian born—Tamaki bred muso Elisa is a wonderful and well rounded artist. As a UoA Jazz school graduate Elisa began her career in the local jazz scene performing with the likes of AMA nominated collective Alchemy and Nathan Haines. Elisa has utilised her technical abilities gained within her degree to develop her dynamic and alternative sonic pallet. She presents her audience with stories of separa- tion, humanity’s recklessness, the highs and lows in love as well as all the joys this fickle life can bring. Her first release ‘Despondent’ is a soaring rock anthem that journeys through the trails and frustrations of flatmates and friend- ships. With her versatile and genre bending motifs, Elisa puts out a sound that is fresh, making her a note worthy and exciting artist.
