Rising Pacific-soul sensation, Myshaan (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāpuhi, Tainui), has laid out his heart for all to hear with the release of his new EP, My Love.

Building on strong chart and streaming momentum, the soul artist is set to break hearts across the Pacific with a project paying tribute to his wife.

Featuring singles ‘Missed Your Chance’ and ‘Paint Them With You’, which both featured at #3 on the Hot 20 Aotearoa Singles and ‘Pacific Beauty’, ‘My Love’ is a deeply personal project that captures the intensity of attraction and the ache of long-distance. It explores themes of commitment, resilience and the challenges that come with a relationship worth fighting for.

Myshaan says that at its core, ‘My Love’ is a love letter.

“This EP is about love in all its forms. The infatuation, the butterflies, and the overthinking. It’s about loving someone so deeply that even when they’re not there, they’re with you everywhere,” he says.

Written during a season of distance from his wife, shortly after proposing, the project blends smooth R&B, reggae influences, and Pacific soul into a collection of tracks that embody Myshaan’s signature soulful, emotionally raw sound.

“This is a declaration of my love,” he adds.

Myshaan’s success in the music industry continues to grow, with the artist spending over 115 weeks in the Official Top 20 Aotearoa Singles Chart for three of his singles since 2023.

The 23-year-old’s digital presence also proves he’s a force to be reckoned with, boasting a combined social following of more than 385,000 followers and 5.7 million likes on TikTok.

Fresh off opening for Maoli on his Island Vibe tour, Myshaan continues to elevate himself in the Aotearoa music scene.

‘My Love’ marks another defining step in Myshaan’s rise as one of the most promising voices in Aotearoa.
