NZ On Air is pleased to announce the results of the November New Music Single funding round. A total of up to $11,000 will be invested in 32 songs by local artists, set to be released in the coming months. This funding will support artists’ recording, video, and promotion costs, with the aim of helping their work reach audiences across Aotearoa and beyond.

In the final New Music Single funding round for 2024, NZ On Air received 203 eligible applications, showcasing an incredibly high calibre of submissions and fantastic music. Among the funded artists for November, there are eight first-time NZ On Air New Music Single recipients, as well as a strong representation from across the motu, with artists creating a wide range of music.

NZ On Air values the importance of a diverse and inclusive music industry. As part of its mahi, NZ On Air monitors funding statistics to ensure that support is provided to foster diversity within the music communities of Aotearoa. The 32 songs funded in this round reflect a broad range of audiences and show strong potential to reach those audiences through broadcast, streaming, and online media.

NZ On Air extends thanks to the judging panel for their hard work and expertise in determining the final results.
