Auckland based pop singer-songwriter Jeiel new single ‘NVM’. This soulful pop track, produced by Chequered Patterns and recorded at Parachute Studios, explores the emotional journey after the end of a situationship.

‘NVM’, short for nevermind, captures the essence of modern pop with its catchy hook, layered vocals and a dramatic climax. Written as the antithesis to Jeiel’s ‘Always On My Mind’ released earlier this year, ‘NVM’ reflects Jeiel‘s personal experiences and emotions, offering a relatable narrative that resonates with listeners. Influenced by musical icons like Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, and Frank Ocean, Jeiel continues to carve out his unique sound in the pop music landscape.

“‘NVM’ is about the bittersweet realisation that what I thought was serious, was actually not and there is nothing more I can do about it”, says Jeiel. “Truth is, I call it a situationship but for him, it probably meant nothing. I just hope in expressing myself, I created something that people could relate to”.

Jeiel is a singer and songwriter passionate about blending music and visual art and has been writing and creating music since the age of six. His music is known for its infectious pop melodies and introspective lyrics, and his artistry is further enriched by his background in design and fashion.

The release of ‘NVM’ is accompanied by striking visuals, showcasing Jeiel‘s flare for integrating art and fashion with his music. ‘NVM’ and ‘Always On My Mind’ are from Jeiel’s upcoming EP, set for release in 2025.
